hands on GLASSworkshop slated for 

March 17th -19th @ B.A.G.I.

This course is intended for sculptors and designers wanting those next steps to obtaining the keys that release the idea from their imagination and place it  in the annealer. Daily demonstrations and individual instruction will unlock students to develop the necessary skills to make anything in their imagination using hot glass.

This course is designed for advanced students who are not only interested in sculpting hot glass, but bringing a complete vision into reality using glass.

Founded in August 2009, Berlin Glas, e.V. is a not-for-profit association that aims to give international professional artists and students the opportunity to work with hot glass in Berlin.
In Germany, those interested in working with glass can only do so at a very limited number of schools or rent space in factories. Berlin Glass, e.V. plans to offer a dynamic and modernized studio to a wide range of artists, students and eventually the general public at an affordable price. As Berlin is becoming the centre for a contemporary art, a hot glass studio will provide an exchange between artists working with glass and the abundance of talents that are already in practice in the city.

PETR JANECKY supports glass4kids

we all gotta eat ..

 BASIC PANCAKES FOR 4 ..

• Yield: Serves 4

• Ingredients:

• 2 cups all-purpose flour, stirred or sifted before measuring
• 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
• 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 2 large eggs
• 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 cups milk
• 2 tablespoons melted butter

• Preparation:

• Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and 1 1/2 cups of milk; add to flour mixture, stirring only until smooth. Blend in melted butter. If the batter seems too thick to pour, add a little more milk. Cook on a hot, greased griddle, using about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake. Cook until bubbly, a little dry around the edges, and lightly browned on the bottom; turn and brown the other side. Recipe for pancakes serves 4.
